In 2015 Megan was working as a lawyer and wrote the blog as a hobby and to help other brides-to-be plan their weddings. Experience turned into wedding planning checklists and guides, and a large community of women from New Zealand and beyond. Megan Hutchison is now regarded as a New Zealand wedding budget and industry expert, regularly appearing on National TV, New Zealand Herald and in print. When she’s not running her businesses, Megan shares her journey online and does a little work as a lifestyle and parenting influencer.

Creating the little white book wedding planner

Shortly after her own wedding, Megan went a step further, creating the little white book wedding organiser and diary. It has been voted the best wedding planner book, featured on CNN and has been praised by bloggers and wedding magazines.

2015 – started She Said Yes
2016 – published the little white book wedding planner
2017 – published I still do wedding anniversary journal and created Skin Sonic (now sold)
2018 – developed (and shortly after sold) ‘Our Wedding’ – the first Wedding Directory for the Pacific Islands and NZ
2019 – published made with love pregnancy journal while pregnant with her first child
2020 – developed NZ’s first bridal subscription box, something blue (sold majority shares to business partner). 
2021 – published our love story couple’s journalChristmas Memory Book, Celebrate, started selling to Smith & Caughey’s, Ballantynes and gift stores Nationwide.
2022 – launcher Forget Me Not Journals to diversify into family journals.

Megan loves the journey of creating businesses and hopes to continue to be a positive entrepreneur for the New Zealand and Australian wedding markets.
