Since 2015, Megan has shared wedding planning blog advice and guides, and now sells the little white book wedding planner voted Best Wedding Planner Book in Australia by Bridal Musings and Modern Wedding Magazine & featured on CNN.
She Said Yes – blog to business
In 2015 Megan was working as a lawyer and wrote the blog as a hobby and to help other brides-to-be plan their weddings. Experience turned into wedding planning checklists and guides, and a large community of women from New Zealand and beyond. Megan Hutchison is now regarded as a New Zealand wedding budget and industry expert, regularly appearing on National TV, New Zealand Herald and in print. When she’s not running her businesses, Megan shares her journey online and works as a lifestyle and parenting influencer.
Creating the little white book wedding planner
Shortly after her own wedding, Megan went a step further, creating the little white book wedding organiser and diary. It has been voted the best wedding planner book, featured on CNN and has been praised by bloggers and wedding magazines.
Diversifying – She Said Yes expands journal collection and other businesses
In 2017 Megan wrote I still do wedding anniversary journal and created Skin Sonic, in 2018 she developed and shortly after sold ‘Our Wedding’ – the first Wedding Directory for the Pacific Islands and NZ, in 2019 followed on with made with love pregnancy journal and in 2020 created New Zealand’s first bridal subscription box, something blue.
Megan loves the journey of creating businesses and hopes to continue to be a positive entrepreneur for the New Zealand and Australian wedding markets.
