If you only get one facial, make it this one!

This morning I took my skincare to the next level, finally succumbing to the rewards of retinol!

Every month I walk the 750 metres (today I taxi’d because of the ankle!) to Louise Gray Skincare, counting my lucky stars that my local skin therapist is also the best I’ve ever had, and counting down the steps til I’m lying in her capable hands.

No matter how much moisturiser I apply, I can never get enough hydration, so I always choose a hydrating facial, but after this week’s Dermalogica launch, I know my hydration is being taken care of other ways, so I bit the bullet and went for a retinol-based Dermalogica IonActive facial.

While I say it like it was my idea, actually Bev (one of the country’s most experienced skin therapists) suggested that I up my omega oils (internal) and use my Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil (external) twice daily to hydrate my skin with oils instead of relying on moisturiser.

Hydration taken care of, I was free to address other aging concerns with the Retinol 1% IonActive, microencapsulated so that retinol is penetrared deep into the skin, rather than on the surface. Retinol is actually just the technical name for vitamin A which has truly astounding benefits for collagen depleted skin. Over 40 years of research shows it visibly increases skin’s firmness, diminishes lines and wrinkles, improves skin tone, smoothes and refines skin’s surface, and much, much more.

In other words… if there was a ‘magic potion’ for perfect skin, retinol would be it.

The result? Dramatically improved skin in less than an hour.

Whether you want the benefits of retinol, to address pigmentation or have a super-hydrating treatment, there’s an IonActive treatment to treat your skin and get wedding ready.

Don’t take my word for it though… and excuse our language, but this is what happened when I suggested my best friend go into Louise Gray Skincare for a facial last week…
